I didn't mean you specifically. It just cracks me up a little bit. These always come up. Congrats on the tag. Its the only one we put in for. Should be a blast!

I was fortunate to draw Peaches for archery.  I have hunted Taneum before, so I know the game a little bit.  Now it is practice, practice, practice with the bow... and several scouting trips this summer!

I agree. The reason I made an account on here is because I came here looking for help on a tag my dad drew several years ago.

I'm with bearpaw, who cares if somebody comes on asking for help - I'd be willing. Some of us don't have weeks on end to leave the family and scout every weekend leading up to the hunt, those that do more power to ya. I drew the Peaches tag last year and was only able to spend 5 days hunting it and went into the area not having a ton of knowledge where the elk might be. I did a ton of research, scouted when I could, and reached out to a ton of guys on this forum for assistance. They were a major help and I ended up having the best hunting trip of my life and made a ton of memories with friends and family that came along, the only negative being that I didn't close the deal on a big bull. I saw HUGE bulls every day and had some close encounters, that's hunting. It's about paying it forward and enjoying the experience more than it is about bringing home an animal in my opinion, that's just a bonus. Given that I had several good guys help me out in my efforts to prepare, I'd be happy to assist anyone that is lucky enough to pull the Peaches tag. I'm no expert but I'm confident I could point someone in the right direction given the experiences I had last year.

You guys should relax, Brian is about the most easy going guy on this site, and helpful.  He just made a comment that we all think in our heads, it's very true guys ask for help and have no clue.  That's fine, I guarantee he's not butt hurt about it.

I saw a young bull taking a drink of water out of crow creek right where you guys camp on Tuesday. Might need to whip some common sense into him next time you are up there :chuckle:.
