So, I think I'll do it again this year. If you look a bit you can find last years thread where Ken, aka Hrd2fnd, and his wife went out and slayed a few hard shelled tasty crabs.

So, who needs to go crabbing? Not WANT to go crabbing, NEED. Maybe you have a son/daughter/dad/mom/whoever that is on leave from active duty? Maybe you just retired? Maybe you had a boat years ago and miss the salt? Maybe you have never been? Maybe you just know someone that has never been out and would love to go? See my point. I've got friends and family that would be happy to fill the boat anytime there is room but c'mon, that's not what this is about. This is about just spending a morning pulling pots and gauging crab that would smile about it a few weeks later. If you look way back you can find a thread where Mark346 (I think that is his username) and I hooked up for a trip out for some humpies. I remember him sending me a pm saying he wasn't sure if he could accept as he was "only" retired from the Navy and not active. I of course said heck yah man, lets go. We had a blast and I still consider him and his wife a friend to this day. Ask Ken how sweet that fresh crab tasted last year...yeah it was good and we had a good time for sure. So, send me a pm, just say that you need a trip for whatever reason, that a little salt in the air would be a good thing, whatever...and we will go.

I will provide gas, the boat, bait, probably random stories that I've already told a hundred times, lunch, and I'll clean your crab on the way in. You will need a cooler with ice to take your booty home. I will be launching out of Everett and would consider this a half day trip or until our limits are reached. Booze is fine and if it isn't fine say so upfront and I'll wait until I get home in case I'm in the mood for a cold one. I'll cover gas as I don't want/expect you to throw in. I can make room for two and myself and typically run 4 pots as it just seems to be an easy number to manage. I'm flexible on when as the season is decently long and we can find a weekend that works out for us both. I have an 18ft North River with the canvas on to keep the sun off. I pull pots by hand and will do all the work or none of the work, whatever works best. Potty needs....either over the side or hold it. We can run back to Everett or Mukilteo of the need is a bit more....urgent. What I expect is for you to be punctual at the agreed meeting time, not hung over, have a license in hand and conduct yourself in a legal and ethical manner while out. Other than that, not much else to it.

So......any volunteers?

I'd go but the potty thing is an issue.  I'm not a social pisser and having the floor move under me is an absolute no go

I'd be up for that!  I have a disabled permit, 'cause I have 2 artificial knees.  I still get around pretty good, I'm just a lot slower than I used to be.  :chuckle:  I can pull the pots, so you can run the boat.   And I'm retired, so you name the date.

Awesome stuff H20, good karma coming your way!

Hey, you have any pictures of that new pup of yours?
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”

From H20's reputation, cold would be a good brand
