Long range practice?
« on: July 05, 2016, 07:52:29 PM »
Where do you guys go to practice at longer ranges? 200,300,400 + yards. I'm in the olympia area but have only shot in the hills.

Pe ell sportsmanship club has covered shooting to 500 meters. Membership is about $35 per year

The range on Lewis no longer allows magnum rifles.

Yea but you might be in someone else's mile.

That place is too crowded.

I had a good spot to 1200 yards in cap forest, but the last two times I've tried to get back there, the damn gate has been locked 1/2 mile before I get there...

+1 for Capitol State Forest.  I refuse to pay to shoot at a range somewhere.  I can shoot 600-1400 yards there in the same spot, and have yet to see another person where I go.  There are some cool spots to find if you look.
