Best new inline in the $500 range (need it now)
« on: July 18, 2016, 08:37:44 PM »
Greetings.

I know a young man that's getting married and his bride wants to buy him a muzzleloader in the the $500 range.

Need it to be here by the end of the month.

Thoughts?

Suggestions?

I bought a Knight Bighorn last fall and have been very happy with it! I thought I heard it went up in price but I recommend it to anyone! I got mine at Outdoor Emporium on 4th.

Wish my wife had done something like that for me!

My interpretation of the rules are open to interpretation.
Once I thought I was wrong but I was mistaken.

Thanks....    I'm kind of surprised they have any firearms after you stop in.

I like my Traditions Vortex NW Magnum 30" barrel. Just over $400.00 The quick remove breach plug is great.

Knight disc extreme at sportsman's warehouse or gunbroker.  Knight ultra light's are more money, otherwise i would recommend them

Stop past Adventure Sports in Lynnwood I'm sure they can hook you up in that price range.

I looked at the Vortek two days ago.    $399

Went to pick it up today, and it was on sale for $329.

IMO. knight big horn is a solid performer...I believe solely it is because of the heavy plunger style bolt/firing pin they use. ... (aka always fire ) ..All  the new  CVA, Traditions etc.. light weight design all use a very lightweight wispy firing pin and without modification these muzzleloaders do not always fire!!!..I have a big horn and a new cva accura NW muzzy. I had a machinist fab a new  breech  and nipple now the CVA NW auccra  fires every time and does not slap bang aka hang fire
