Turnbull Archery Cow Tag
« on: July 19, 2016, 10:33:21 PM »
My buddy drew one of Turnbull archery cow tag. He just received the paperwork and the map had only the NE section of the refuge on it? Does everyone get to hunt the same section? Or do they spread out the tags, kind of sucks if that's all we get to hunt. Unless the elk are there of course. I know someone said the south section is pretty good.

The letter that came with tells you where you can hunt.  For rifle it is limited to one section.

my son was drawn for the muzzy cow season starts November 19th. His paperwork also said northeast unit maybe we could exchange some info on it. I need to go up there but from the map it does look pretty small. I also looked at past success rates and some of the hunts were great and some were at 0%. I guess its good if they are there.

I will pm you Idaho guy, it's strange for the archery tags to be limited to a small section. They may have messed up, his special hunt card had Nov 10-22 not Sept 10-22. He called to verify the season was in September. Wonder if they sent the wrong map, wouldn't suprise me if they did.
