First I've heard of it.
Some people spend their entire life wondering if they made a difference. Marines don't have that problem.

Went up late hunt two years ago in nile with snowmobiles & my hunting buddy. Snow was 4 ft of powder. Cut tracks each morning & followed them to animal. Each one was a huge bull, & you could easily kill them as they didn't move much do to the snow.  We could only shoot cow or spike but fun to see them all. ( 4 or 5 ). Didn't hear about this poaching, that also pisses me off. I think it happens alot more than any of us know. Mike

During the Middles Ages if you were caught poaching the King's deer you would be hung or hunted down.  If you were a member of a rival tribe caught on another tribes hunting grounds they would kill you.  Since elk and deer are considered the property of the state and since a Governor is sort of like a king I think we should go back to how the English handled poachers.   I bet there was alot less poaching going on back then.  :mgun2:

Disclaimer:  For those that do not understand the concept of sarcasm I am not serious in suggesting that we use capital punishment to stop poaching.  But it's an option. ;)

No wonder when I drew a tag and never saw one. :bash:

Hey colockumelk, we should use capital punishment for serious crimes in the city so that our lives will be safer. :chuckle:

I know the rocky mountain states have a lot stiffer penalties for anyone caught poaching what is considered a "trophy" animal.  The states differ, but it can be an elk with 5 or more points or a deer with 4 or more points.  Not sure if we have that in this state, but I'm all for severe consequences for illegally taking a trophy critter.

This is kinda pathetic I would say. You bow hunt off of a snowmobile. And run the game down to see wether it is a cow or spike so that you can shoot it. I have heard of and seen guys run deer down with quads and rifles, but this is the first I have heard of people running elk down in the late bow season. Either change your post to sound a little better or be ashamed of yourself.
