201 multie elk permits remain they go on sale August 16th at 1030am and the deer multie permits go on sale like 2 minutes after or so it said

Has anyone ever attempted to purchase a multi season elk at home from the computer ? Does it work ? I heard these sell out insanly fast and would rather not waste my morning standing in line just to be let down .

It said on the news release you must go to a license dealer or wdfw office.

Tried last year at the license dealer... Second in line... Didn't make the cut...

kinda strange......I didn't get drawn for multi deer, yet........there are 3000 plus available.........don't want it anymore so I guess their loss.

You need to turn in your current weapon specific tag at the time that you purchase your multi season tag. That is why you must purchase from a vendor.

3 years ago I bought one over the counter and they sold 184 elk tags in 59 seconds according to a game department employee that I know. SO lots a luck.

I didn't even know you were able to buy left over tags over the counter until last year.

1,000 elk permits available and all but 201 were sold.

There were 201 people who drew ms elk and didn't buy it. Hence the 201 leftover tags.
