peaches tag/multi season deer?
« on: August 15, 2016, 08:02:47 AM »
I drew the peaches ridge archery bull elk tag this year and was wondering if anyone thought it would be worth buying the multiseason deer tag? are there any nice bucks? I usually hunt deer with modern tackle in SW. Also, will there be many archery deer hunters in 346? thanks

You had to buy the multi-season tag by August 1st.

You could try to buy it when they go back on sale tomorrow.

Looking at the harvest statistics, I think you're probably going to be ok for deer in 346.  Not a whole lot of deer taken in those units.  I have trail cameras up for my son's muzzy cow hunt in 346 and have seen a total of 2 deer...neither of them legal (forky and a doe).  There are deer there, but not in very large numbers.

Might be worth it.  This is a 346 buck from probably 2010.  Not a ton of deer in numbers during the early season but you could always stumble across one.

There are decent deer there. Why not go for the multi too and give yourself all the opportunities. You'll kick yourself if a dandy shows up and you don't have the tag.

I would not!  You have a great bull tag that you have a tremendous chance at harvesting a great bull.  That said, I would focus my efforts on that animal.
Good Luck!

I wouldn't.  I wouldn't want the distraction, or spend the money.
