RTIC concerns?
« on: August 16, 2016, 09:52:22 AM »
Got caught up in the moment and ordered a 45 RTIC cooler a month or so ago. Back ordered as usual. But noticed they already dinged my credit card. Called today and still back ordered. Should ship in 2 weeks........... Reason to worry?
I see  a couple threads on here about the back order, Have all you that ordered received yours in time?

I ordered my RTiC 65 about a month ago. At the time it said "back ordered will ship August 23rd"

I just got it on the door stop last week. So, two weeks sooner than it was supposed to be. Haven't thrown anything in it yet, but it's pretty dang sweet. Can't wait to use it.

I had ordered a 30oZ tumbler a while back also, it was in stock and arrived a few days after I ordered it.

Long story short, I don't think you have anything to worry about.

For sure, I was amazed how long ice keeps in these things. I can't drink water anymore without it being ice cold in my rtic. I'll fill it multiple times throughout the day and the ice is still there!

Drinking a homemade blackberry milkshake out of it right now

FYI the Ozark Trail tumblers @ Walmart work just as good as the RTIC , Yeti's.

Well other than being delivered to the neighbors house I'm pleased as punch. This is the white 45 model. I can't compare them side by side but it is built very solid. Nice hinges that look very durable which has been the weak spot of a lot of previous coolers. Ill post up later if there are any concerns. Otherwise I can't imagine paying 2x the price for the Yeti name :dunno:
I think I'll order up the roadie size next.

I'd say you guys on the fence looking for the larger sizes and can weather the back order I think you'd be pleased with the build quality of the unit.

Wish I was on the ball sooner. I'm in the market for a good cooler and just checked their website. If I ordered today it wouldn't get here until mid October. I need one way before then. Might have to just pony up for one of the more expensive brands.

Have both the Rtic and Ozark.  Not much difference.   Also Ozark out with a smaller size cooler to.   BTW Ozark cups from what i am hearing is made at the same plant as yeti mugs.

Got an email today stating they were "about" 2 weeks behind on coolers and soft packs.   I am fine with that, was hoping to take it on the Archery Elk season.  For half price of the Yeti I will wait

I have the 65 and couldn't be happier.  The only slight negative is the lid doesn't open quite far enough and it tips closed sometimes.

I picked up the wire rack, extra plug and extra hinges as well as the insulated drink thing (bigger one, not the tumbler).  Their free shipping and 1/2 the cost of the big brands certainly made it worth the wait.  I'll probably grab another one when funds permit.

We took it to Wyoming for August antelope and we came back with the same two ice blocks we left with, they had melted about half way in 10 days in combination with normal ice.

So these coolers are half priced coolers made in China.  NO THANK YOU  Buy American people.  With so many Roto coolers out there made in USA there is no reason to buy from this company that can't support the American worker.

ORCA
Grizzly
Pelican
Bison

All made in USA.
