Mule deer buck 5x4 with eye guards.
Son shot a muley 3x3 with eye guards.
I wouldn't say that mule deer are the dumbest of the 3 species. They are probably the most popular to hunt in this state. Blacktail are tough because of the dense forests they live in. Hunting Whitetails seems to be growing slowly in popularity. I think they're one of the fastest growing in numbers in this state, but I could be wrong.  :dunno:

Pushed it to the end of late archery trying to put an arrow into the big 3 that burned me. Ended up with this no wasted meat though.
Remember that buck is climbing that Mt. every day!

Once again the numbers support that a whitetail buck is the least shot. Must be the smartest of the 3 deer species. The numbers don't lie.

Well the fat lady hasnt sung yet, far from it.  Those whitetail numbers will start climbing here in a few days

Yea Baby, late buck coming up!
I bet all 83 tag soups were from blacktail hunters. Everyone knows there the toughest to kill!

Nice looking deer hanging there
The only man who never makes a mistake, is the man who never does anything!!
The further one goes into the wilderness, the greater the attraction of its lonely freedom.
