McNary lottery who scored some good picks?

I got my email a few minutes ago and was notified that I have 2 picks a no. 2 and 4 for late Jan. I'm happy Anyone else get some good picks?

Our group got a #1 in early Nov and 4 in late January. Waiting to hear from one more guy. Wish the 1 pick was later but its better than nothing.

My no. 2 pick is the last day of the season. I usually try to hunt divers that day like the Cans and Redheads. I still need mature birds for the wall.

Haha.  We will definitely have to figure something out.  May have to find someone with a well trained retriever to assist the wonder dog.  After I put in for the lottery, I found out its too deep there for wading and a dog or boat is needed.

Now to wait for the Ridgefield draw!
That's the one I'm really looking forward too

Haha, good deal bud.  Maybe we should just team up that day

I don't know what blinds are good yet, never been there before.  So I plan on several trips down there before season to scout it out.

All kidding aside, I like the idea of hunting near each other if possible.  It would be nice to know the guys next to or across the slough from me.  That way we can work together instead of against each other.  One day last year I had no one across from me and ducks figured it out fast and landed in large numbers out of reach to me but right where a hunter, if there was one, in blind 9 could have done very well.  On another day last year hunting out of blind 20, I had some guys across the slough in blind 15 trying to call birds away that were working my decoys and even shooting to flare birds that were cupped up coming in.

McNary is combat hunting at its finest. A free for all when the birds are in. There was one group of hunters in the past that were really working on their competition calling and every bird that flew the slough got their Stuttgart routine. One time my buddy shot a triple when they were across from us and they yelled at him for sky busting. I typically take all my toys in when I hunt there. The pull string spinner(s) the dipping ducks and about 3 doz. Higdon Battleship decoys(the bigger the better), a half dozen coot decoys and finally a heron decoy. The last couple of years I've been really disappointed with the management down there. They cut the corn so late in the season that the geese hardly use the fields anymore. I think they have an agreement with the guide or the guys that lease the fields behind and next too the refuge to leave the corn standing so as not to compete with them until the end of the season.

I scored to picks; 12 &14.  Both are in Mid Jan..  Not sure If I'll drive 150 miles for that high of a pick.

Same amount of driving for me.  Cant hurt to do it, its only 2 hours one way.

Have you guys ever noticed that almost nobody shows up down there...like at all. Some days last year there were only one or two blinds being used.
