The Warriors moved further and further downward. As before, when close encounters were had we were excited. We scanned the areas in the distance with our telescopular  :chuckle: lenses and didn't see any dragons on the horizon.

It was the magic hour, the hour when a dragons vision was not its best and they find it difficult to focus. We located a fresh dragon trail and pursued. As it entered the abyss, it entered a portion of the abyss that was dark, gloomy and very very low light. Dark as though the forest itself created a dark sanctuary for the dragons.

The air in here was pungent, musky and smelled of death, no wind dare entered here as if it wanted the smell to dwell, to sit in the air as a warning to those warriors that dared venture this far.

We hunkered down into a good fighting position and unsheathed weapons. Battle cries commenced...

And again...

And again...

No response...yet again the dragon had alluded our warriors and left them wondering...wondering what is, what was and what could've been...

The Warriors began their ascent to the chariot. As they were leaving they stumbled across a pack of goblin gobblers. 1 warrior took off after them and unfamiliar and inexperienced with hunting goblin gobblers came back empty handed. The inexperienced warrior was not aware that if disturbed they will zig when you zag, they scramble and ramble.

After making it back to the encampment a feast worthy of the gods was had again.

Don't do it.  He will put you on the wall next to the other jackelopes.  Just let him go, he is in a groove.

Is this tale a platitude?
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

:chuckle: I believe it is.
