My son's first elk
«
on:
October 06, 2016, 07:46:09 PM »
My son James got his first elk this year hunting some private land near North Bend. We were out on Saturday morning but the elk moved past before first light. Saturday evening they moved past before we got to the blind. On Sunday the morning was taken up by his team practice. Sunday night everything worked out. As this cow walked by I made a short call and hoped for the best because she was out of my sight. James made the one shot count with his 50 cal CVA Wolf. With both lungs hit the elk went down quickly.
