I can..
Someone good with photoshop could do this but why?  It's part of your story, go with it!  Editing it in this case would be a lie IMO.  Everytime you look at that edited photo in the future you'll know it isn't real.

Some food for thought though - there's people that actually advocate to edit out extra gruesome/or bloody photos before posting it on social media so the antis don't have fodder to freak out over... but this is an interesting question. Curious myself on the reasoning OP wants the edit?

But you deliberately asked why for the edit in your last sentence. Not how he wanted edited.. :P :P :P :P

Yep! I said "Curious myself on the reasoning OP wants the edit?" ... the first sentence, in case you missed it, I defended reasons for people wanting to edit out the blood from photos  ..  Not sure what you think I said. After DaveMonti's post saying basically "don't ask unless you can help" and I said "I can help" (as in, I can help him so am I allowed to ask?). So what exactly are you pointing out? :)

Also gotta note since when are we not allowed to ask questions to an OP in a thread that's posted on here?  :chuckle:

I'm sensing this is another thread where no moderators can be wrong, even though there post is littered with sarcasm. -

Why even take it there? A simple question was asked, that's all. If the guy doesn't want to answer, he won't.  Maybe he wants to hang it on the wall in his house and doesn't want the bloody photo there for all to see.  I feel like it's a question that doesn't need to be asked in the first place, and the follow up is also uncalled for.
 :twocents:

Agreed, the sarcastic question comment/question was unwarranted and so was mine.

Just send the pic to phool and have him do an outstanding job like he's always done for me and my friends. I can't believe this simple request turned into this ridiculous mess. Pathetic.

I have no problem showing photos to you guys but the hole in the side of my elk looks like I shot it with a 50cal.  Lol. Then when I tried to roll him for photos the bull flipped down the hill about 7 times out of control and out came a heap of organs and blood.  I was cringing hearing the rack clang off the rocks.thanks though I'll send the photos over!

Wow.

You tried to call me out? or something, I don't understand what you were pointing out. I wasn't being sarcastic, I agreed with you that I asked a question. I explained myself (which, sorry Dave I see what you're saying :) just wanted to be sure). I don't know how there is a right or wrong, or what being a moderator has to do with asking someone questions  :dunno: sorry it made you upset.

Anyway, 3d - glad you'll be taken care of, sounds like a gnarly story in the making.

I guess I don't see the issue some have with retouching the images. Here is a example of a members goat image. First I adjusted the lighting (don't have the before for that), which resulted in the first image. Then removed the date stamp, flash reflection in the eye and blood, resulting in the second image.

What is wrong with that? :dunno:

One of many good article write-ups: http://www.sportingshootermag.com.au/hunting-skills/how-to-take-better-hunting-photos

Also some magazine submissions for articles require minimized blood/gorey views. I don't see anything wrong with cleaning up a success photo.

I don't think the OPs reason matters.  Sounds to me like the OP will face judgement from someone on either side of the issue.  Clean it up and get ripped by hunters for not being "real" or let it be and get ripped by antis for the bloody, cruel, crude blood and guts.  I already hear the judgement from the hunter side of things in this very post.

Do you ever check your appearance before someone takes your picture?  Why?  Just because the OP prefers it that way.  The rest is none of your business.

If you can't help him with his request, just ignore the post.  No need to badger him and angle for a reason to criticize, and yes, criticizing IS your angle here.

Thank you for your criticism of my criticism.
I know I've lost it, let me know if you come across it

Some of you people need to chill out.....   maybe take some gruesome kill shots or something.

And Smossys Girl, as for you......

How dare you continue to offer to be helpful????!   Why, if everyone went around just doing helpful stuff like you, then.... then.... then....   well then I don't know what but I don't want to live in a world where people are so helpful.
