Pack recomendations?

So I tend to hike pretty far from my vehicle and I'm worried about have to leave a deer behind to run 4 miles to get my truck. Looking for advice from those who pack their animals out of long distance hikes. Thank you gents

Is this only a day pack with meat hauling capabilities? Or will you have a complete camp with you also? If it's only a day pack that can haul an entire deer this is in the classifieds.....

Neither are cheap, but I'm sure you'd be happy with either. Load hauling capabilities between pack and frame.

Second Kuiu's Icon Pro.  I have the 3,200 and love it.  I have gone through other top end packs and this pack is the best fit by far.

You can get the truck to the animal? I'd do that. The few extra minutes of driving back to it would be worth the convenience.
If you need to pack one out then I'll go against the grain. You don't need a $400+ hunting-specific pack. I've packed a boatload of deer out in a plain old 3900 cubic inch backpacking pack and I'll keep doing it.
Bone it out, bag it, put bags in pack and go. The packs I've used aren't even high-end but they have straps to balance the load and the weight is carried on my hips.

While I agree with Fish vacuum for the most part, I own an exo 2000. I also have the 3500 bag for backpack hunts so it was an easy decision to get the daypack for about 150 used. Before I bought into the high end hunting pack craze I used my backpacking packs, which worked fine but had some downsides. Notably, Not as compact for hauling capability (a load shelf turns a daypack into a hauler. Good luck getting a boned out deer into a 40 liter pack with gear.) Also, for blacktail a good backpacking pack will do fine, but for HEAVY loads the stouter frame of a hunting pack makes a difference. When I say heavy I'm talking 80+ lbs range. If you would never haul that, don't waste your money. Unless you just want to look cool

Badlands 2800 is my all around pack I love it and I also have a bullpac for longer days and loads

I really like my full curl system, with a day pack installed I can have everything I need for day hunts, and it'll fit a ton of cargo, it's got a meat sack that clips in as well that I use, a boned out deer would fit into it I'm almost 100℅ sure.

Kuiu icon 5200 or 7200 can't go wrong with either.. I ace had a tone of different packs and tested a bunch and found that kuiu was most comfortable and fit best.. Also very lightweight..

Exo or Kuiu icon pro. You pick the size. 1850-2000 won't hold a complete boned out deer but 3200 plus should work just fine. Either will hold 80+ pounds and still be comfortable.
