Wyoming Success
« on: October 16, 2016, 06:57:58 AM »
4x5 muley at 140 yards:

Average size antelope at 245 yards:

Both via handloaded 165 gr Nosler Ballistic Tip bullet from my .30-06 Rem 700 CDL. No complaints about the rifle. It also brought me a Washington bear earlier this year.

More wildlife, shot only with a camera:

It was a good trip. Was away from home about ten days.

Best of luck to all you hunters! Guy

nice work!!  Great coyote picture!

Thanks! Here's another one. The coyotes were more cooperative for photos than I've seen them in years past:

Thanks for sharing!  Black Hills?
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Every photo I posted was from eastern Wyoming, or Yellowstone. Camped there for a couple of days.

Congrats....That is a heavy deer.  A Wyoming hunt for anything is a great experience.  I actually have 6 antelope point for next yr and plan on cashing them in.  I also have 3 deer points that I wouldn't hate using if I could find a decent deer area close to my antelope hunt.  Any suggestions?  Number one goal is nice antelope.  I wouldn't mind getting a couple doe permits, and make it a meat hunt.  I look at the Eastmans book and get nothing but confused.  All those numbers and such make sense to a lot of people, but all it does is confuse me.  Sorry, I turned this into a me thing.
