The Chewuch River is a river in the U.S. state of Washington.
Its name comes from the word /cwáx/ [čwáx] in the Columbia-Moses language meaning "creek".

The Chewuch River originates in the Cascade Range northeast of Remmel Mountain at the junction of Remmel Creek and Cathedral Creek. It flows generally south to join the Methow River at Winthrop. The Methow empties into the Columbia River. Tributaries of the Chewuch River include Andrews Creek, Lake Creek, Eightmile Creek, and Cub Creek.

There are still a few big deer but far fewer than years past.   :)

I went over for a short weekend trip in September for Archery. I did not see much on the Eastside of the Chewuch this year or last. Seen a few on the Westiside. Harvested a 2x3 Muley NE of Mazama on the last day of season. As bone addict stated, few and far between.

If you have to ask for info at this late date you didnt do proper research in the area. I would just sit 7  miles up FallsCreek Road (big open slope)as it has lots of migrating deer of the dark coat type.Settle for a younger buck after a couple day as the big ones dont seem to be around this year.Son and I took young bucks (4x4&3/2) the last wknd of the modern. There is Boulder Creek  Tripod fire area with the chance of a monster buck but buying lottery tickets work for some lucky people, too.

Thanks for all the PM's and great info.
Little about myself, I've never hunted muledeer in my life, in fact I've only shot "1" deer and it was a blacktail, I got him October 30th last year in  Cle Elum. I'm really excited about this Chewuch tag, my buddies told me to put in and I got drawn with 1 point! I'm shooting a really really nice marlin 30/30 open sights and pretty much good out to 400 yards or so. Would love to see some Chewuch bucks taken in years past if anyone has them. Thanks and God bless

I smell a troll.
