World Class Desert buck

Ya, he'd score about 140.   Sometimes there is more to a monarch than score though.  To each his own.

I didn't even attempt to score him because I can't see if he's just a big fork, 3 point, 4 point etc. I just don't feel he is a world class animal looking at him. He doesn't have anything that's super exceptional that I can tell from the pics. Looks like a nice mature buck. But what's world class about him? I'm really curious what features make this a world class buck?

Because I'd kill him in the Kiabab, Sonora, Alberta, the Pauns, in 45, the Henry's, anywhere I had a tag.   Bases like that, eye guards, his age, size, square frame.  The way he acts.  I wouldn't care if he was a forkie.  Old recessed buck.  Old gray ghost.
If that doesn't meet your criteria....sorry.   The fact I had to explain it means it doesn't.   That's fine.

I feel like a world class buck is one any hunter anywhere would target. And most hunters aren't going to target that buck in any of the places you listed. It's an old regressed buck. Lots of old regressed bucks get killed every year. Nothing world class about them.

We get it.....your wall is filled with world class bucks Branden.  Some of us hunters consider lesser bucks (in your eyes) world class.  I am super glad we all feel differently about what world class is.....otherwise we would all be chasing the same deer.     I think you made your point loud and clear....you would not kill a deer of this caliber as it is below you.  Rather than throw stones and then be passive agressive by saying thanks and regards.....just post pics of some of your world class bucks so the forum can enjoy your post as much as they enjoy bones.
