In the last few days picking up increased  activity on my cellular cams that I have on my property in the Blues.  Nothing huge size wise, but definitely a noticable increase in buck movement.

The local town bucks are starting to cruz and check some does. It's about ready to fire up.

I've seen the same buck every rut since 2014. He's now 160" class and I only see him in early and mid November. He was following a doe about 100 yards behind her tonight. Most places aren't noticeably moving until the 12-15th
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

I just got back from a quick weekend trip to ne corner. Two days of hunting and all I saw was 13 does in my area. No fresh rubs or scrapes yet but it shouldn't ramp up here any day.

This morning a whitetail buck i dont recognize was in my yard.  He was a 1x4.  Must have tangled with one of the bigger guys, cause his right antler was broken off just a couple inches above the pedicle.  That doesnt happen from gentle sparring.  But ive been out in the woods every day and am not seeing any real rut activity.  Few more days im sure itll really kick off.

Just got back from a weekend trip chasing whities on the late Palouse buck hunt. We watched a lot of deer.  The mule deer are definitely dogging does, though they don't look like they're in full rut yet. The WTs didn't seem to be showing much rutting activity, though I did see a nice buck up on his feet today around 9am and found a fresh scrape as well.

Part of it is this weather.  Muleys aren't even sure they really want to do this yet or not.  Young bucks are into it, but the ole gray ghosts and kicked back waiting for cooler temps.  It's not even freezing in the mountains.  I'm sure it's even slowed the progression of the whitetail.  Made it get back on normal track.

Thoughts on the supermoon next week and how that will effect the rut?

Generally you will have a bigger showing around noon, and your morning activity will be cut shorter.   I believe the whitetails estrous cycle is based off the 1st quarter, last quarter, so that will change the ferocity of the rut.   In other words, just before thanksgiving the time will prime action!

I am trying to find a few days to make it back up next week. Some colder weather would be a nice addition too.

It slows things for sure.  We don't even think it feels right. I was filming yesterday in a t-shirt.   Things happen anyways.  I know of one Buck rattled in by a Colville. She put the hurt on him.  Sounds like he came in hot.
