Unit 124 Second Deer Archery Doe Tag Nov 25-Dec 15
« on: November 02, 2016, 10:11:25 PM »
Took my now 12 year old on a 2nd deer Desert hunt when he was 7 years old. Told his little brother a couple years ago that if I drew another 2nd deer tag he and I could make a trip of it, just the 2 of us. He is 8 and you would think he is planning on taking a 200" buck with how excited he is to go watch me shoot a doe with my bow. If anyone has some property that needs a doe taken out or knows some good areas, we would appreciate your kindness. 6 hour drive to shoot a doe sounds crazy but it's gonna be totally worth it for the time spent with my little boy.

I got drawn as well, been spending a lot of time on google maps, there is quite a bit of timber company land over there and not all of it charges for entry.  Walk in a mile, set up a blind, put down some bait, and the does will come.  Not a guarantee but it's what I'll be doing.  Good luck to you.

Have you looked on the wdfw website for any land available for the register to hunt?
There has to be a farmer in need of a little damage control.
Although, I know there was an issue with the blue tongue disease killing a lot of the deer.
I'm not sure the impact it had on that area.
Good luck!!
Your little guy will be hooked :)
