Not as many deer as usual being spotted, still quality bucks around. Hopeful for next week!

Spent last 2 days in 117. Not popping yet. However this guy has now shown himself twice in my yard.

I haven't seen a river bottom deer in more than a month. Have seen at least a dozen the last 2 days. Either there rutting or all their cover corn on the other side of the river has been harvested pushing them across to my side
. Was already making Sunday evening hunt plans with the misses at dinner. Big or small, buck or doe, first opportunity (unless its a fawn) I'm going to notch my tag.

Seen a big boy at 500 yds looking for a doe, he went into the woods I closed the distance with my daughter. The doe came out and waited for him to show up, she got tired of waiting and went in the woods too after about 25 mins. It got dark so no shot. The rut is definitely on.

I'm in northern Idaho...I saw one big buck chasing a doe. Other than that, no real signs of the rut. It is happening though, just not real hard up here yet.

Had a little two point grunting up a storm that came in and chased two does for a few minutes. I think I heard the does laughing too but I could be mistaken.

Well, I punched my tag. Not the monster I was hoping for, but I'm happy not to eat the tag. Gotta work this weekend, so I was getting down to the wire...

Just got back from 117. Never really popped this year during the season. I did punch my tag with a small 4x2 that I called back with three doe bleeps. Finally had snow coming down hard when I was leaving.
