Nobody up there talks about the elk. Silence keeps people away.
There is no greater respect to have for wildlife than to harvest an animal fairly and use it's flesh to feed your family.  ~me

2012, I had a 6 point and half a dozen cows within 50 yards. Rainy day and the cap didn't go off. One of the cows busted me and they left in a hurry. How's that for a story? Still makes me sick.

Saw this fellow a bit smaller last year and saw him while coyote hunting a few days ago, this year he's quite a bit bigger. Any tips on how I can get him within 20 yards for my primitive bow this late in the year will be greatly appreciated haha

Find him in September to start with  :chuckle:

Then make it count, I doubt you'll get more than a chance at him. Hardest area to hunt elk with a primitive weapon... Good luck  :chuckle:
