Depends on what you are looking for in a bow. Speed, Forgiveness, Back wall, draw cycle, adjustability, weight, etc. Bad shoulder and love for smooth draw and comfortable back wall has me in an Elite or an Xpedition after 28 years of switching bows around. Different for everyone though. Elk have never complained that the arrow did not go through them fast enough.
go to a few bow shops and shoot ALL the bows...matthews, elite, hoyt, bowtech, misison, pse, bear etc.Figure out which bow feels best to you...THEN go to archerytalk.com classifides every day for a month or so and you will find the bow you want (most likely) at a great price.I got an $1,100 Elite Answer that had been hunted with for max two weeks and bought it for $500
