Score this 1951 buck.
« on: February 14, 2009, 09:57:15 AM »
Everyone hear seems to enjoy photos and scoring- thought you might help me out.

I don't know the score or the rifle make/model- educated guesses?

It is a picture of my wife's late grandfather with a mulie he shot in 1951.  He was born and raised in Dayton.  This was the largest he had ever shot- hence the pic.  No- I do not have the rack- I asked him a few years a go and he said they didn't really care to keep them since hunting was mostly for subsistence.

Holy, look at the length of that rifle barrel!  Nice buck!
I've hunted almost everyday of my life, the rest have been wasted.

Not from me- sorry... this isn't a pop quiz- I was just curious to see what some of you more seasoned scorers thought it might bring.

23" inside spread...  175" gross...

What are you guys talking about short mains?  Look at how they turn and twist up???  He's got a unique shaped rack that is deceiving imho....

...and that's why they call them "the good old days"... especially for muleys... :'(
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
