Of course my maiden voyage was done in the dark....    It was good though.  I've got a few things that I need to do like figure out how to shade the bow as the spotlight really lights it up making it hard to see, I need to get a stool as the rails are a lot higher for getting in and out, the driver's seat needs a new compression cylinder, and I'd like to install some kind of cabin heater. Oh yeah, need a GPS/fishfinder as well.

I'd be interested in meeting with you someday to check out your new ride Ed, I've been thinking about that exact boat, or maybe the Alaskan, but have never been in one on the water. They seem like great boats for running around the SJ's and maybe doing some boat camping.

I'm not sure of the difference of the Alaskan model from the Ocean Pro, they are definitely not very common around here and are quite a bit more expensive than the OP's from what I saw in my search. I'll take you for a ride some time if you want.

The Alaskans are a touch wider and have a larger fishing deck, but you are right, they are not common, and are more expensive. Probably overkill for this area, but I like my space   :chuckle:
