Great pic, thanks for posting.

Wow!  Cool!  I really like seeing the little ones.  Cute and yet dangerous.

Nice. I've had a collared cat on my cam on the west side once. It was pretty cool.

Great pic!  Not sure he covers that far north, but the cat bio in 460 is a gentleman named Brian Kertson  (Kertson@dfw.wa.gov)  If you share the time and place he may be able to tell you about the animal.  I did the same on a collared cat I photographed and it was pretty interesting.

Years ago i caught a collard cat in a bobcat set. I did the right thing and called the state patrol which in turn got in touch with the game dept.. I was up out of Green Water at the time so i went down to and met them in town. A convoy of state patrol and game wardens showed up and i took them up to where the cat was at. Upon arriving we found two truck loads of houndsmen at the scene. They where aware of the cat and where discussing what they should do. Kind of a shock to them when we all showed up. Bruce Richards was the game warden in charge at that time and he went in and darted the lion. It turns out the collar was put on when the cat was young and was choking it. The batteries had long been dead and the collar was not working. My trap was just a #3 northwoods coil and not one that was made for lion. There was no damage at all to the paw that was caught by three toes. We carried the lion up to the vehicles and weighed it, They loosened the collar, refreshed the batteries, and taped of the area with hazard tape and we left to let it recover. Bruce was an upstanding guy and since i had not done anything wrong, no ticket.  :yike:
I've slowed down enough in my old age to finally let the game catch up to me

Pretty sure his study area is the Snoqualmie tree farm so it likely came from there.

All the info he gave me was in that email. It sounded like he wasn't 100% sure if it was one he collared because he couldn't read the collar number.
