New yote hunter and hooked!
« on: January 18, 2017, 06:22:04 PM »
I've always shot coyotes but never just went out specifically just to hunt them. The older I get (32) the more I just want to be out hunting so naturally I've been looking for ways to extend my hunting season. Sooo bought a coyote call and a "how too" video with great audio and proceeded to test my marriage. I'm happy to report that you all inspired this new hobby and I have called in 2 coyotes successfully to date! I know it's not a lot but hey, feels like a win and my son (8 years old) almost was ran over by a male so of coarse he's now all about it.  Anyways thanks to all of you that have posted "how to's" and "how nots".

He is! He has had his own .22 since 4 yrs and got his first shotgun this weekend at 8. He will be a heck of a hunter someday. hunting is like Christmas for this kid! It definitely keeps me motivated to step up my game and do things by the book.

You look familiar. Do you go to the green ever?

I've been to the green but just for lunch maybe twice per year. I retired the night life and fist fights when I had kids. My name is James Hyde
