Old Primers
« on: February 17, 2009, 12:22:35 PM »
Reloading supply shelves are bare everywhere.  I can’t find anyone that has primers in stock but I still have a stash of vintage primers, some must date back to the early 80s.  They have been stored unopened in the original boxes.  Any reason why they would not still be OK?

CP
I have shot primers that were over 30 yrs. old BP and modern with out a miss fire.
Thinking of salvaging some out of my bullet collection now.

My dad just shot up his last large rifle primers last year that he has had for over 30 years.  Did not have one miss fire.

Thanks.  We may all be scratching up whatever we can find if this shortage continues.  Some of these are marked $6.99 / thousand, those were the days.
