I was thinking about that hunt that a lot of you guys pitched in money and time on for the guy in Oregon this year. TFO has guided at least TWO branched antler bull hunts on the Terminally Ill Once In A Lifetime Tags that were given to terminally ill veterans this year. They do a lot of cool hunting and fishing trips. This is a National Organization that was started by a Veteran here in Washington.

They had a booth at the Sportsmans show in Portland last weekend. Good program for a good cause.

I believe both CoryTDF and JODakota have pitched in on some of the hunts they do

Great organization, we went to their banquet last year in Tacoma.  Hopefully they have a bigger place this year, it was packed!

I was stuck in traffic at Fort Lewis during the event. I really wanted to go but that was a no-go plus I wanted to drink some beer but didn't have a DD

I went too. There was a bunch of huntwa folks there. Hope to go again this year. Had a great time. CoryTDF is definitely involved to some extent.

I wouldn't give wounded warriors a dime. Super wasteful organization.

Great cause, good people and pretty well organized event. I'll be attending again this year once they figure out when and where the banquet will be.

Fallen Outdoors is a great local charity. Wounded Warriors, not so much. Charity Watch gives them a "C" rating because of the exorbitant administrative costs which have been paying for huge salaries, lavish retreats, etc. The founder recently stepped down in the wake of revelations bout these problems. The Marine Corps Foundation or the Fisher House Foundation spend way more of their money where it belongs - on the military and vets who need it. :twocents:

+100 for the Fisher House. I know families that have benefited and it really is all it's cracked up to be.  Great organization.

Aaron Blanchard's family, for one.
