Tanned furs

Got a bunch of furs back today from Moyle's, man they do a nice job.  SOOO happy with how they turned out!!    :IBCOOL:

The last couple shipments from them I have been a little disappointed. I think I am going to give Tubari a try.

The last couple shipments from them I have been a little disappointed. I think I am going to give Tubari a try.

What was the turnaround time for Moyles?

And, has anyone else here ever used a tannery other than Moyles or Tubaris? I am interested in checking out any other tannerys out there...especially if they do good quality with quicker turnaround time than the two mentioned..

8 months this time, last time was 4 months.  Any time fur prices tank, they get swamped with skins from trappers.

Beaver were $22-27.50 ea
coyotes - 24.25 ea
otter - 28.25 ea
red fox - 22.50 ea
muskrat - 13.50
raccoon - 18.00 ea
skunks - 18.25 ea

I have,i used the formula off the net to do a deer hide,turned out great but was a huge mess to clean up.used an old dryer no heat element with soft balls after stretching to soften up.got it moistened with saddle soap

I've only ever sent them beaver, coyote and a few mink. I was very impressed with both the beaver and mink. The coyote batch was a little disappointing. I guess our E Washington coyotes might not get the best treatment when there are Montana coyotes there too. Still  :dunno:
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.
