Is a PA 15 Multi Lower the Same Size as an AR 15 lower?
« on: March 16, 2017, 02:57:16 PM »
I thought for a long time I'd bought and put together an AR10 - my first build. I have been told on the Grendel site that it is in fact an AR 15. I look at the lower and it ways PA 15-Multi. Also, it doesn't have a forward assist. Can anyone tell me if this lower is the same size as the regular AR 15 lower? What about the forward assist? Does that make a difference? I love shooting it. I just am pretty ignorant about ARs.

It's an ar 15... I've found it amusing that you insisted it was an AR10 but you had enjoyed a few grapefruit juice and vodkas! Lol

I like to drink before displaying my firearm prowess. It raises my prowess level inside my head. I actually could've sworn that biggerhammer told me it was an AR 10. Maybe he told me after the vodka and grapefruits.  :dunno:

Does it have a cmc trigger? They can be used in an ar15 or ar10

I know that. I was wondering if not having a forward assist would make it different from an AR 15 which has one.

Admittedly, I know little about different AR platforms. The last time I used anything like an AR 15 was the m16 almost 40 years ago. I thought for sure that the guy who helped me build it told me it was a 10. So I was mistaken. That's why I started this thread to make sure. I thought I'd get info from guys who knew better than I.

You have an AR 15 and the uppers can come in many different configurations.

The AR10's are pigs compared to a 15 in some of the newer chamberings.

:yeah: the AR10's are just bigger versions of the AR15 to accommodate longer cartridges.

forward assist can be had or not had on either the ar10 or the ar15. It does not differentiate what model rifle it is
