Two years ago I drew the mountain view spring bear tag, lets just say ive been obsessed with bears ever since then. I had never been bear hunting a whole lot or stepped foot in the unit. On that hunt I set a personal record of 48 ticks in one day and learned the importance of carrying a water filter. Six miles in I a did get a shot at a bear and missed. Few too many falls knocked my scope around too much. It was a fun hunt but a little too far to travel every weekend.
I put in for Kapowsin this year because its closer to home and my truck runs a little unpredictably. Looking at past threads it sounds like the guys that draw the tag get to know each other pretty well, so if you see a college kid with a broken down truck feel free to say hi
