Here is the reason I have been quiet on this board. My Dad gave his high school hotrod. He used to race it on the old spiral highway out of Lewiston ID.

Yes, true RS big block car. Need to lube up the fold away headlight motors to get them working properly again and track down a huge power drain in the electrical system. Going to do some fluid changes this Friday and sneak out of the house early next Friday to go get  it and take the wife for an anniversary cruise. Might do the Dairy Queen cruise in next weekend too in mill creek if anyone else local wants to join in. A couple friends and their whole families usually bring a good selection of awesome cars!
And I’ll post up some more pics after she gets a bath and quick wax job. Try to make her shine again

That old thing is going to get in the way of your fishing.

You should sell it to me.

Well, got some fluids changed and battery charged, she fired up and ran like a top first try! As luck would have it a buddy bought a storage unit full of big block parts (and a GTO) so I have a hookup on all the little things it needs mechanically. Good start to the project!

Then you need to fish more.

I am insanely jealous of that car.

Awesome news! What would you ultimately like to do with the car?

I've had one in storage for 10 years that I raced a little when I was younger. Its the only car I've gotten pulled over in just because the officers wanted to talk cars.

Wow, bunch of great cars and projects in here!
I have a project in early stages, but not of those vintages or caliber.  It is now considered a classic by WA DOL though!  Running/driving 200k mi 5.0L.  Building a 393 stroker motor for it and going Carb at least initially.
All new suspension going in including IRS.  Then comes finding someone for the bodywork and paint.

Garage remodel project has it on hold for time being though.  She has to have a properly setup salon for her make-over!

'72 C-10. My brother started this project, and had it all torn down to the frame. Sadly, he passed 13 years ago. His buddies at his base assembled it enough to ship it home. My mom and I did the restoration in his memory. I'll pass it down to my boys one day.
