hey jackall!!!
don't let the skeeter name be in the pic.. ha ha way to ruin a good shot..
but i know we have to do what we have to do sometimes by running in something that isn't like our rangers.
it kills me to run in my partners triton but you can't argue about the extra money
just kidding boss. this is your neighbor just down the road from you...
i love all kinds of fishing but bass fishing is my favorite too.

Well..prior to WA I would have said the sharks of coastal GA. I know I know...people hate sharks but thats from a boat...try fishing a live 14 inc bait fish from waste deep water and have it picked up by a 600 lb 12 foot long Blue Shark that picked up the bait 20 yards and one foot deeper than the water your in...thats exciting for all kinds of reasons... then hold on and try to stop a F150 speeding away from you and your trying to stop it with a casting rod and 50lb test... I love it.
Now that Ive done some steel head fishing in WA I can honestly say...Ive been fishing my whole life starting for crappie and blue gill on a stick pole (fresh off the tree...lol...I know I know) to tiny native trout in the ankle deep rivers of NC and TN...to grouper fishing the gulf of mexico... to float fishing for dinner off of deserted Islands off the Northern Coast of greece in the Black Sea...
Some of the very best fishing Ive ever done has been with my great buddy Tmike chasing winter and summer run steelies... I could fish another 1,000 times and never hope to have more fun or do any better than me and Tom have done. Good times that I hope we get to repeat over and over!
these have been posted before but Im in Iraq and thats cutting down on my ability to collect new fishing trip pics...

Tarpon (50 lbs or less), bonefish, snook and smallies on a fly rod. Bonefish are a blast to catch. Nothing like a fish peeling off a 100 yds of backing in less than 10 seconds

looks fun, but there is nothing like a oversize sturgeon ripping out 200+ yrds of line and smoking a reel in 10 sec

I too have been fortunate to be able to fish many places. It is hard to top a Bonefish or a large Alaskan Rainbow in my book. Picking a favorite is tough anyway because I just plain like to fish. My latest favorite is smallmouth at Banks Lake. However the one type of fishing that I think about the most is fishing for summer run steelhead. That is my favorite fish because of the surroundings, the rivers, the fight, and the fish. I can't wait for them to come this year.

My favorite fish is hands down native cuttthroat trout. I like going when all anyone catches is the state stocked rainbows. Cutts taste soooo much better
I also got hooked on Northern Pike in Alaska. Something about them that keeps me wishing that I was fishing

Summer run steelies on the Eloakaman River!(brings me to my knees!)
They jump going up stream and turn and jump going down stream OMG. But I haven't done that sence the early 80s.
Now I get the same thril out of fly fishing for trout! I love the fish all day catch and release!
