« on: May 01, 2017, 11:52:40 AM »
Anyone in the North Spokane area that has the tools and experience to level my MBG multi pin slider? Willing to pay for the service. Thanks

you can do it pretty easily without any speciality tools.  to properly level the 3rd axis, you're going to want to be at full draw, but there are some methods to get you in the ballpark from the start.
good video on a diy bow level
setting 3rd axis

to get my bow in the ballpark to start, i made a bow level like that one, then clamped my bow onto a level table aiming at a steep down angle.  i had to use small pieces of paper to shim the bow to make it perfectly level, but once you have the bow level when aiming down or up, you can make small adjustments to your 3rd axis screw until they're both level.

the other diy way for 3rd axis would be to hang a plum bob from something fairly high up.  at full draw line all of your sight pins up with the string when aiming up or down (preferably down if you are doing this near other houses) and see where your sight level is at.  let down, adjust, and check again until the sight reads level when all of the pins line up on the string.

good luck

I have this and it works great, there are other options but this one is super simple.

You dont need to be at full draw. I use a medicine stone. You can do this with a bow vice and a good string level. First level the bow st the string so that your string is perfectly level up and down. Then swicth the level so you can level the bubble on your sight. Once you are level both directions rotate you bow forward , While doing this watch the level in your sight,.If it does not stay in the middle adjust it back to the middle. It takes very little movement. Once it is in the middle rotate the bow back to level and double check you vertical level. Do this sever al times. It will work very well once you get the hang of it.If you have any questions you can call me or pm me. 253-606-5517 Jim
