See what tomorrow brings.  The system was offline today(for over an hour)  and they also discovered a "glitch" I  the system.

Got all my stuff done last night no problem.
But, anyone else's points all screws up? Says I have youth, over 65 and disabled points, none of which I am.
That happened in 2010 when the multiple categories were created. It happened to everyone,  by design.

It processed licences without allowing the option of weapon type or east/ west (elk)  and then locked you out.  It won't let you enter special permit applications without declaring.  You have to get an agent on the phone (no after hours help) cancel your tags, have them reissued and then submit your choices.  There was 1 hour plus wait times today.  Tomorrow they will make an executive decision.

"Dear WDFW Hunter,

We are contacting you in regards to your hunting license purchase from the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.

It has come to our attention that when you purchased your Deer and/or Elk tag, it was issued to you without recording your weapon and/or geographic area (eastside or westside for elk).  This will impact your ability to submit special hunt applications for deer and elk, as well as your ability to hunt during the proper weapon season this fall.

We will need to cancel out the tag(s) that you were issued and issue you the correct tag(s) in order for you to submit for your desired special hunt categories. "

What a bad time for this to happen.

Prior planning prevents piss poor performance.

Clearly they should have put a lot more testing into this new system before releasing it.

I have not seen anything on the WDFW webpage or Facebook page mentioning any extensions & until I do assume it is today.

FWIW I went to Fred Meyer yesterday to buy everything for hunting season.  Their system and WDFW's were not happy with each other.  I got all my stuff bought, and then the system crashed before I could pay for it.  Took a solid half hour of the gal at FM waiting on hold with WDFW and trying get through online at the same time before she was finally able to cancel it all.  Only reason I went there in the first place was I needed my daughter's WILD ID and I knew she was in their system, so I figured I'd just buy it all at once.

After I got home though I was able to log in on WDFW's site and buy all my licenses and special permit apps, along with my daughter's and got all the applications for permits submitted.  I'm really hoping she draws the youth elk tag.  She's got 4 points for this year, and average was 3 points last year for those that drew that tag.

I just did points option this time for everything but my daughter's youth elk tag, and my cow tag applications.  But I know I won't draw that cow tag as I got it last year.

I just spent an hour & 8 minutes submitting my permit appls by phone. Since yesterday, I only would get the Oh Deer error message when logging in. I called WDFW this morning & they blamed it on my pc but I have never had problems before. I had already purchased the appls & they gave me the number to submit them by phone. 877-945-3492 & that worked.  :bash:
