Would you buy it? Set of plates via Amazon
« on: June 08, 2017, 09:17:18 AM »
So, looking to purchase some steel for range as well as transportable set up. Think portable stand for a single plate that could be set up in camp, ah lah cold bore challenge in the field, and range use. These look like they eould do the trick, are cost effective I believe, and come with free shipping.

Thoughts?

Fyi, primary calibers used are 308, 270, 30 30, 223, no magnums.

cheaper and better than plasma cut, unless you can source some scrap metal or cut it yourself

I just bought these for $150 with free shipping.  I bought the AR500 1/2" so it will handle almost anything.

Beer cans are cheaper, but if I didn't have any that looks like a pretty good deal.  Check the return policy, but how bad can you mess up a chunk of metal?

Basic pvc frame suspended by cables. I want to make it portable and light.

Cool!  Let us know how they sound.  I may pick up a couple myself, I love whacking the steel at the Marysville range.

Thats what got me going.  Shot the new 308 Ar there when it was handed over to me. Somewhere on here is me bragging about hitting the mid sized plate with my 460 S&W, 2nd shot, open sights.
