Dayton Quality Bull Modern Firearm
« on: June 15, 2017, 10:49:38 AM »
I have never drawn anything other than a cow and doe permit. I finally drew Dayton Quality Bull - Modern Firearm. I have hunted in and around Dayton for the past 30 + years; however I am NO expert. I will start scouting next week. I'm a solo hunter so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd love for someone to come with me, if they LEGIT know the area. I'm willing to put it a tremendous amount of time etc. I have a very flexible work schedule and can scout it almost weekly. Thank you in advance for any help...

PM me and I can issue my cell number

We have 1 Dayton bull tag in camp this year, I'm going to have to hold his bullets.

Its for my own good trust me!!  I'm at work, a job a really don't care for, been here 24 years so no quiting now!  You've probably seen the movie perfect storm?  Well if I don't draw (again), and I'm here at work when I find out, I just might drive off a clif!!  It would be the perfect storm of depression!!   I need whiskey first, then I'll look.  @Timberstalker

What if you were the first guy not to draw?  Like I was on 2 separate quality bull permits last year?
I had 20 pts this year, but ghosted, so I'm good.
Sorry, don't drive off a cliff. :chuckle:

Ya man; I've been there. When I hit 15 points, I felt like I was gonna draw every single year. Nothing but "not selected". I strongly considered "ghost points", because I have a ton of points in all categories except Antlerless. My fear was I would double draw Quality and Bull in the same year. This should setup nice. I will have 11 Bull points next year, which should put me in position to draw again soon.

If anyone wants to get together to scout and/or hunt; I would love to.

Any suggestions on where I should start scouting next week?

I need to find some good access points to sit in my truck and glass or walk out to an area where I can glass.

Are there any trailheads, which I can walk deep in to look around, place cameras, etc. ?
