I have to quit reading this thread.

I'm pretty invested in Glock, and don't think I can see my way clear to changing.

In your review, please say that you regret going away from Glock and intend to buy your stuff back.   That will make me feel better.

If you're satisfied with your Glocks, there's no real reason to change to the 320.

I've got both here with me right now, and can tell you the 320 is just an alternative to the Glock, nothing more. It's not better, just different. The quality certainly isn't better than a Glock, and the internals are more complicated. They make sense if the grip angle of a Glock is a problem for you, otherwise it's just Chevy vs Ford arguments. Both are decent quality and will do what you need them to. I would not carry either one without test firing and confirming zero first of course.

I have plenty high standards for accuracy. When I say off its normaly: does it hit at where the sights cover? Or slight 12 o clock just above the sight. That's about the only thing that I ever have to figure out with any gun I've ever owned.

And frankly I'm willing to take the risk. You guys are now tagged in the post. When I take it out either I'll get to say "see no big deal, gun worked fine". Or "made a huge mistake and Sig is going bye bye".

Who knows I may end up with egg on my face. But I carry 2 guns anyways, one will work if I need it.

Dude,
It is 12:00 on a Friday night (Oklahoma time), and we are sitting here on Hunting-Washington.com impatiently waiting for your review.
And you tell us we have to wait until August,  :yike:
We have to have something to nit-pick!
 :chuckle:

I'm actually kinda hoping MH holds off until well after Aug. before he posts up a review because the more I read/look at these things the more I am wanting one so he's saving me money by NOT posting a review, well, at least for now he's saving me money but that's likely to change.

This friggen place has been nothing but a money pit for me and you all are who I blame whenever my wife asks, "what are you buying now?"  Yep, I blame allllllll of you as being bad influences.  :chuckle:

This is not the first time I've been accused of being a bad influence.  :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

:chuckle: Way to funny. I am sure you will love it. I have been a huge spring field guy. started running the sigs and really have been impressed. Hints why I own and carry several now. More then the springfields actually now.

Not a die hard glock guy saying glock is better :chuckle: I went in with a open mind and loved them and now use them.
I have owned more then a few glocks and sold every single one. So I can say from first hand experience with thousands of rounds through both the sigs are better for me

Last year a good friend of mine who I went to the police academy with dropped his P320 9mm and it went off and shot himself in the calf. The gun was secured inside a duty holster on his duty belt. Luckily he only had minor injuries.

It appears that the in the news now today is more reports of the P320 failing a drop test.

I'll stick with a Glock.

I did see the recent videos and the letter released by SIG.

Ill start off by saying I'm NEVER happy with recalls of any kind. Ive had dealings with this before with the original LCP and it left a bad taste in my mouth for Ruger ever since.

That being said

A) You make a products long enough sometimes things get over looked. I'm not making excuses its just a fact of mass production.
B) Just about every manufacture has had some kind of recall at some point for one thing or another, including Glock.
C) again not making excuses but its also HOW does the company address the issue.

I saw the letter today and it sounds like ill know the answer by Monday what they plan to do to fix it. IF they handle this well Ill still be happy with Sig although slightly disappointed overall with having to deal with a recall.

couple examples are like when I had my Tundra in for some of their recalls. Toyota handled it well and gave me a free rental car for the day. still an inconvenience but an attempt to make it right.

The LCP recall. again I was not happy BUT they sent a box when they were ready for it all prepaid. and on return I got a hat and an extra magazine. again not happy but it was an attempt to make it right.

I hope Sig handles this well.
