I think you're looking at his knee above the bucks forehead. That is a stud buck.

@Griiz that's an insane WA buck.  What is it, 6 by 8"? If you get a chance let us know if that's a special permit buck or OTC. Thanks for sharing.

6*7, permit. He had a 10 inch drop a week earlier.

His head was like a goat. Short and wide. He was an old and ugly buck.

Incredible buck Griiz! Congrats! I thought the same thing about his top knot in but its just a carhart clad knee that makes it look like that in the pic.

I've never applied for one in wa.  I hunt with my dad (who flys out) every year, so we always just stuck with general tags.  Here's one of his wa bucks.
