Bachelor Party
« on: July 23, 2017, 11:41:55 PM »
As I walked in to retrieve the card from the cam on my property in the Willipa Hills, I noticed many fresh puddles of pee in one of the normal elk bedding areas.  Hmmmm, me thinks..... I must have got a video or two of the bull I suspected was frequenting the area.  I get to the camera and find that it has been messed with, and the camera strap was across the lens.  "Crap! - I know I didn't leave the camera like that!"

Turns out the boys had a party at my house, pissed all over the place, and the only bull leaving through the front door decided to play a trick on me and hide the evidence.  He only seems content once he's pulled the half-hitch out of the strap and managed to leave it obscuring the lens.  Sneaky suckers!

I lost a cam down there a few years ago. Always thought someone stole it..guess the elk must have decided they needed it more  :chuckle:

I try to help people on the forum when I can. I'd be happy to check your cam strap for you. Just PM me with the coordinates. You're welcome!

Awesome video.

My cams are always placed for BT bucks.  I've had some spectacular failures attempting to aim cameras from above.  Long soaks with nothing to show for it.  Every once in awhile I loose a cam to thieves or animals, but I like the head-on view, or even better, ground level views I get on a successful set.
