300+ pound cougar

I got a picture message of a cougar supposedly killed near shelton. Said it wieghed over 300 pounds and will be new state record. Can anyone confirm this and if it is true share some better pics. This is one I will have to see to bielieve.

Kahuna, if you are going to make a post like that you should show the pic. A 300 lb black bear is a lot less likely than most think let alone a cougar.

Probably that one from North Bend area from a few years back that's been circulating around the internet with claims of being killed in several different states.

Is this the one you are referring to? If so, it's been on here before (It was taken a few years ago). Although it is one BIG cat, it certainly does not weigh 300 lbs.

I know there's a thread here about it and the story behind it. (This is the same one that Bobcat is referring to)

That one was on the boone and crockett website.  was not 300 lbs though.

If I could download I would, not that tech savvy, sorry,. Saw the pictures of the one from northbend, looks like a different cat. I myself call B.S. also, just was wondering if anyone else got the text pic or not. I kileed some nice cats and have hunted with brother with hounds quite a few times never heard of or seen anything close to this size of cat.

The truth is that it was taken in King County, Washington in December 2002 by Roy Hisler with one shot from a .30-06. His partner, Jim Hackewitz, used a varmint call to bring in the big cat � taken within 6 miles of Bellevue, Washington (a major suburb of Seattle). The cougar was accepted into the 25th Big Game Awards at 15-7/16.

I've hunted almost everyday of my life, the rest have been wasted.

I saw a pic of one outta utah real belly dragger,but 300 :dunno:

Yes I have seen the one of
 the guy in the garage. The picture I recieved today is of a different cat and guy. Said it was killed 10 miles north of shelton. If you want pm me your cell # I'll send it to someone who can post it on here.
