Thanks all, other then the heat it was a blast! Always thankful to get a animal even though with elk its far from expected.

Man, I can't wait for the season, glad to see your success.

I'll have to show my wife that I am not the only guy with a pistol and Mountain House in their hotel.  My kids think it is perfectly normal, which is a good thing.

That's the way to roll There was a guy who walked over to my quads, one of which has a small gas can on the back. He didn't see me sitting on the porch as it was about 12:00. When he got about 2 steps from it, I whistled. I don't think I have ever seen someone run so fast Bad intensions

That's awesome! I put 1 in the freezer a week ago! Very grateful as the last few months is the first time Ive been out of elk meat, especially burger, in 15 years!
