Toutle muzzleloader

Looking for some help. My friends and I drew muzzleloader cow tags and I was hoping for some input on where to go. I have been down there four times since being drawn and have only seen two elk. Could be because of the heat. Wanting to stay on state ground and not spend another $1k on weyco permits. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!

Welcome to the site.
I'm not up to speed on the Toutle, so I have no direct info.
But there have been Toutle threads in recent years with good info. Search Toutle.
Hopefully some guys with Toutle knowledge can also help you out.

Buy a weyco permit. Drive up 6000 line to 7300 on the right. glass back across the river and boom. Plan a move and good luck. That is if the herd on the 7300 isn't standing down at the bottom. Good luck.
