Some monster muley bucks!
« on: March 01, 2009, 07:42:50 PM »
I got these pictures in an email from a buddy today and thought you guys would like to see them.

From the email:
The Thiokol Plant (where they make and install the solid rocket fuel for the
booster rockets on the shuttle) is located North of SLC and south of
Promontory Point. For those who do not remember their 7th grade history,
Promontory Point is where the transcontinental railroads meet. (President
Grant and the Golden Spike).  Thiokol will not allow firearms on the
property. As you can see, their policy assures very large antler growth.
One of these bucks is well over 40" wide and a 6X7 that is in the 35" range.

Bring a GPS!  It's awkward to have to eat your buddies!

Great bucks, seen the pics before.  The 3rd and 4th pics down is photoshopped for sure.
I've hunted almost everyday of my life, the rest have been wasted.

You can see the lines from the re-work around and between the wide bucks horns.

Yea, these have made the rounds a few times over the years. The bucks are there...and there are some REALLY big bucks in that group. However, for some folks "really big" isn't "big enough" so they photoshopped a couple of em.

Nice bucks though either way!

I dont know why they had to photshop those bucks, they were hogs to begin with. :dunno: The 4th one down would be like 48" wide if it were real.  :chuckle:

Reguardless, I wouldn't mind putting a miles on my boots there, oh say... about now, looking for some bone!

I thought I remember seeing some untouched photos on that other site (MM) last year.

The wide buck in pic #4 is actually from the Tooele Army Depot in UT. I worked there for three years, and we used to see some big bucks. The was poached in '03 by some kid. Scroll down to post #21 to see some pics of the buck after his sad demise. Here's the link.

You can't get in there as it is high security and closed to the public...I've tried.   :'(
