+1 on the Carhartt's.
I have been using them in the khaki color for the last 10 years. I also put the foam knee pads in them. They hold up to any brush and when cold the knee pads really help keep your knees warm. When it's cold a pair of silk LJ's under and I am comfortable. I am typically in them 20+ days a year in Columbia basin. Gave all my fancy pants away
