2012 F 350 power window stopped.
« on: September 30, 2017, 10:29:48 AM »
Last weekend my daughter rolled down my rear drivers side window and it wouldn't go up with her switch or the driver's switch. I just replaced the motor / regulator . Plugged everything in before I put the motor/regulator back in the door and tried the switch and it all worked. Got the motor back in the door and put back together and now nothing. Doesn't work with drivers switch or rear switch. I can hear the motor do something like a click when I push the switch down but nothing on up  . Any ideas before it goes to the dealership next week ?

Did I read right that you put in a new motor and it worked b4 putting back together but all back together it doesnt?

Must be bound up because you put it back together wrong?

Yes worked outside the door. Not real sure how I could have put it in wrong.

I would guess either bound up or you accidentally pulled the plug out when you were reinstalling it.

Just pulled it all back apart to check if it was bound up. Plugged it in outside the door and now nothing ?.

Dang, that probably means you have gremlins.  Did you check the fuse and hear a click when you run the switch?

I thought of the fuse , but there is only 1 for the power windows , and the other 3 windows work.

Possibly a broken wire where the harness passes from the door to the body, this area flexes every time you open/close the door and the wires can break over time. When I worked in a dealership we found that this is often the problem with intermittent  power window operation.
