Dumb question, but are you sure you went the right way?  I would try the other way as I have been very sure of things like that and had been wrong.

I did try going the other way and it just shot higher I thought the same thing though and we talked about maybe that whole six shooting thing but it seems like you should be able to adjust that without having to hold under

Another dumb question. What kind of rest are you using? Is the barrel resting on the rest or is the fore-end? Resting on the barrel can cause the bullet to inadvertently fly high.

You need to get ahold of traditions and have them send you a shorter front sight. I had to do that to my T/C Black Diamond !!

I think you want a taller front, Or remove and file the underside of the rear.

This calculator is for pistol, but should work to figure out how the new height needed.

You are correct, I mis-read the problem.

Rule is you move the rear sight the direction you want the point of impact to be and in this case the rear sight is maxed out too low so the front sight would have to be higher to move the barrel down to lower the POI

Quote
To move the line of sight DOWN (the shot hit BELOW the point of aim) the REAR sight is RAISED or the FRONT sight is LOWERED. To move the line of sight UP (the shot hit ABOVE the point of aim) the REAR sight is LOWERED or the FRONT sight is RAISED. To move the line of sight LEFT (the shot hit LEFT of the point of aim) the REAR sight is moved RIGHT, or the FRONT sight is moved LEFT. To move the line of sight RIGHT (the shot hit RIGHT of the point of aim) the REAR sight is moved LEFT, or the FRONT sight is moved RIGHT./quote]
