Last few years chasing Muleys outta state
« on: October 11, 2017, 12:46:14 AM »
So a few years ago I decided I'm done with just hunting WA for deer and began applying outta state and my quest to shoot a big Muley which I've yet to do . I have plenty of giant whitetails , but the wall is missing some Muleys. If you have not hunted outta state I highly suggest doing so atleast once . It's eye opening the sheer numbers of deer and how bad it is here in WA. Some hunts we see 40 + bucks a week and one particular hunt in Idaho I walked a 2 mi dead end road and passed up 20 + bucks . Some of the most memorable and fun hunts have come in the last few years. Hoping for another as I am packing up for another this week.

Figured I should add to my outta state mule deer post. My last outta state tag was 2017 season in ID drew a controlled hunt. Last year I drew nothing outta state and so far this year nothing with ID pending. Crossing fingers for a ID tag!

I heard it crash a long way from where I shot with very big gap in noise I knew it wasnt good. I stood looking down at it wondering what I did. It was 2 days 13.6 miles total to get it out and all up hill out of hells canyon.
