I currently shoot a Martin Phantom but would like to get a new MOAB. As soon as I can afford a QAD Ultra Rest I'll try the FOB's. Untill then, I'll keep using what I got.
God Bless,
Scott

I'm shooting an '08 Guardian with a NAP Sizzor rest.  I don't think the FOBs will make you a better shot.  I haven't been able to shoot them past 30 yards yet so I don't have any experience at longer distances.  All the reading I have done suggests that they stabalize a broadhead really well and that they have less resistance in a crosswind.

Ive shot out to about 50 yards and they still seem to fly just as good and seem to stabilize broadheads well also

is there any actualadvantage to using them , sounds like they break easy, and blazers stabilize broadheads well for me? or are they just kind of a neat gimmick?

Does the wind ever blow when you shoot or hunt?  Then the cross-wind drift reduction is a major advantage.

Don't want to worry about fletching repairs and time lost hunting or shooting?  Then the simple replacement is an advantage.

Ever wondered exactly where that deer was standing when you shot?  The popped off FOB will be laying right there.

Ever travel with your arrows or store them to find that the vanes aren't perfect anymore?  Not a problem for FOB shooters.

Don't like paying to have arrows fletched and refletched? Advantage FOB's, again.

The main reason that the world hasn't changed to FOB's en masse is that they are afraid it's just a "neat gimmick".  The only time I shoot anything but FOB's is at the IBO shoots because they aren't allowed in the Hunter classes, yet.

very good points, answered any doubts i may have i had. now i'm just gonna have to order some and try em out my self. I really like the fact that all you have to do is pop them on and you're ready to go.

I have been shooting FOBs for over a year, nearly two, and I love them!  Sure, I have Blazers too, but I just shoot the FOB better and repair cost is nil.  Wind is not a factor much.  Have yet to shoot an animal with them (damn branch!), but I have every confidence in them and will be carrying them in my quiver at all times.

Why would you want to put a WB on your bow in the first place let alone possibly damage a FOB on one.

Nah, just go right to the straight jacket, bypassing any further harm to your person.
